2021 Recap 🧢 & 2022 [Sneak Peek]

Another year has come to an end and I'm really so grateful for all your support this year.

Every purchase. Every visit on to our website. Every social media like 👍  and comment 💬 .

Every time you told someone about Finix or wore one of our products. It is the reason Finix is still here today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💖 .

As we wrap up the year I always feel it's important to reflect back, but also take time to look forward and get excited.

2021 in a nutshell:

1. A year of surrender and trust 
After 2020 being a year of trying to control everything but nothing (a pandemic stricken world for one 😷 ), I told myself "que sera sera 2021, what will be, will be." As long as I made a plan and gave my best, I leave it to the powers that be.

Thus my mantra for 2021 has got to be "Just do your best and let the Universe 🌎 handle the rest." 

2. A year full of learning and growing
2021 has been a year of learning ​​📖​  and growing 🌱  both for me and the business.

Finally attained my 200-hour yoga 🧘  teacher training certificate which means I'm officially able to teach and share my practice with you guys. Hopefully we can start gathering in bigger groups in 2022 and I'll certainly explore hosting some yoga sessions - be it on my IG Live or in person. Stay tuned!

I got accepted into The Bridge Fashion Incubator Programme in the second half of this year. TBFI is a robust programme for early stage fashion startups organised by the Textile & Fashion Federation of Singapore. This intense 4-month programme saw me interact with mentors and experts 👨‍🏫  in the fashion and startup community across the world.

In this short span of time, I saw myself grow tremendously as a person and an entrepreneur. I don't know how many times during this programme I saw my brand get taken apart only to have me put it back together. In hindsight, it certainly gave me a deeper perspective of my brand and helped crystallise my branding direction. 

I also had a moment of epiphany when I saw myself berating myself constantly for beng so slow and unproductive. It took a confidant to point out to me how harsh I was to myself and how I did not even see how much I was growing from this experience. I realised I was so fixated on the negative that I forgot to see how I was transforming. 

All in all, I can't be more proud of where I've come today for the brand and for myself, and I can't wait to share it with you.

Things we're excited about for 2022:

1. New products for more mindful moving and living
I'm really *fingers crossed 🤞* optimistic on the world opening back up next year. We'll be starting off 2022 with a bang💥 with the launch of our new FREEDOM collection which has been many months in the making. It's bold, fresh - and I'm so excited for you to try it.

We're also working on a couple of new products - maybe even accessories 👜  - that I think you're going to love.

2. Let's get physical!
I mean physical presence. Finix is finally getting our first rack space at Design Orchard (250 Orchard Rd). Yes, you heard it here first. Come Jan 2022 you'll be able to start browsing and trying our collections in person at this swanky retail space right in the heart of Singapore's prime shopping belt, Orchard Road. Located right opposite The Heeren and a two-minute walk from Somerset station. Come check us out - and who knows, we can even share a cup of ☕ .

3. A refreshed website
We're currently refreshing the front and back end of our website with a cleaner 🧽, more streamlined look and feel. Previously there were complaints about the loading rate of our site. With this refresh, we are confident that your online shopping experience with us will be much faster and smoother.

4. It all starts with intention
Each product we make at Finix has such a unique story and reason why we made it - and we feel it needs to be told. Starting with our FREEDOM collection, we'll be sharing these stories with you. Look out for our product tags and on our website and social media. We want you to know why we made it so that you're able to use our products with more purpose.
