The Finix Flagship Store: Your Go-To Destination for Independent Asian Fashion in Singapore
Opening the Finix flagship has been a journey that’s both personal and purposeful. When I first envisioned this space, I didn’t just want a retail front. I wanted to create a home - a place where people could come together, connect, and simply be.
From the start, the renovation plan was designed with flow and openness in mind. I wanted the store to feel like one contiguous space, where energy could move freely from the retail front to our alfresco balcony, and through to the back office area, which can also transform into an open (or intimate) event space. Every corner was intentionally planned so the space could evolve - from a shopping destination to a venue for talks, community gatherings, product launches, workshops, or creative activations. It’s a space that’s alive - one that grows and adapts with the people who step into it.
A Sanctuary for Authenticity
One of the things I’m most proud of is how the store has already begun to take on the energy we hoped for - a safe, welcoming space where people feel free to express themselves unapologetically.
I still remember a moment not long after we opened: a customer came in, shared that she had just moved to Singapore with her partner, and openly talked about coming out — without hesitation, without fear. That conversation reminded me why Finix exists. This store isn’t just about clothes; it’s about creating a sanctuary where everyone can feel seen, accepted, and free to be who they are.
A Space for Storytelling
The Finix store is also a place for stories - where brands, creators, and artists can connect more deeply with their audiences. It’s where people come to discover the stories behind what they wear, use, and love. Many of my inspirations and lessons about identity came through traveling and observing how people express themselves around the world. I wanted this store to reflect that - to be a space that inspires curiosity, adventure, and self-discovery.
